Check your freeze/expansion plugs. I had 5 good ones and one that
starting pissing anti-freeze as soon as I tapped it. They make rubber
ones with a nut that screws down that is much easier to get into the
engine while it is in the car.

Check your timing. Put a lower pressure radiator cap on as your
cooling system is older.

I've heard Pertronix makes a good electronic conversion.
