Okay, I'm going to ask another stupid question. If the driveshaft is removed, why would it matter how far you tow that car? Especially if it's just the rear end that's moving. This is making ZERO sence to me. Date: Thu, 22 Dec 2011 16:35:19 -0800 Subject: Re: How to tow a '62 300? From: ericsturgis@xxxxxxxxx To: 1962to1965mopars@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx That's correct. It does have the rear pump, that's why you can push start our cars. Just disconnect the driveline from the rear axel and tie it up, or better yet, just take it out of the car, it's really easy. I forget the fastest speed and distance you can tow it, but it's not that fast or that far. If you have the owners manual it will tell you there how far and how fast, but just take out the drive line, why invite problems for 4 exrtra nuts and 10 mins extra work.
But remember, no park....and no parking brake once you take it off. I never use my parking brake...I don't trust them in our cars. -- Eric Tacoma, WA 1962 Chrysler Newport 2 door HT
