Here is what my brakes look like on the car. Apart from the bolts that hold on the backing plate being a bit loose they are fine. It looks like your caliber is farther away from the hub than mine. I don't remember if there is a wrong way to install the plate that holds on the calibers or not. This is the Passenger side.
As you can see in my photos the pad and caliber almost touch the hub of the rotor. Also the bolt that holds the caliber on is just a tiny bit above the rotor. Very tight clearances. Your car has a large gap between both.
As you can see whith the wheel off they do not spin free as they do with drum brakes. They drag a lot (more than I thought) I used ceramic pads with mine....just cause, no real reason. My car has about 1200 miles on the new brakes.
Call me if you want more photos or mesurements.
Yeh, I drilled holes in the pads for the caliper bolts. to secure them
better. .... kidding!
I meant to say the "ears" of the pads where the bolts go through. I
thought maybe there might be some binding there first as the pads
tried to slide on the bolts. But it was fine.
