Actually I'm hoping to get out of the head gasket business for awhile :-) I have one coming so I can pull the suspect head again.
The sockets I got were metal and looked just like mine. There were two types though. One had a ground tail and the other just grounded by contact. The one with the ground tail was the best. I replaced all of mine when I did the rewire but they didn't have enough of the tail type sockets so I used one with the contact ground. It is dimmer than the others and I will replace it. I'll see if I can find the part numbers. I think I have it in my list.

I think I found a set on ebay still checking. I did check my local NAPA, only plastic sockets. Did you find head gaskets or would you like to to check my local NAPA and such for a set, or a few sets knowing how you like to visit them often.
