I am 17, so i have the speed bug. My 1965 plymouth barracuda has a slant 6 and i have an idea to make it a super powerful classic. Now, we all know stock, taht the slant 6's are tough. But, is it possible to beef it and run this configuration? My idea is to beef up the engine as much as I can to handle the speed and power and run it like this. It will have a standard single barrel, and 3- 4barrel carbs on the same intake that can feed all the pistons, and have 3 T4 turbos. each turbo is connected to a single 4 barrel and the middle turbo will be also connected to the single barrel (for fuel efficiency while not racing). Each waste gate will connected to an electronic controller (i will build the electronics since i am studying to be an engineer) and It will have an electronic fuel pump for the 4 barrel's. while the single is connected to the mechanical fuel pump. While the engine is normal driving mode, the middle turbo will feed the single with a partially opened waste gate to control boost, and will close the other carbs. when I engage it into different level race modes( based upon expected power needed) it will allow the use of the other carbs and turbos based on the selected program. And possibly a NO2 as well for a real punch. I just want to know if I can make the engine handle the power, and not bog it out, or blow it up. i also would retro fir the driveline and chasis to handle the power. Another option would be to not use carbs, but fuel injection. So, what are your thoughts? -- -- Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person.
