Any parts store has a small bottle. Use 134A freon and oil.
Oil stays in the compressor. Make sure to oil all your “O” rings as you
assemble. Green “O” rings for AC
134A will be obsolete soon

Don,
Anyone who does much A/C work should have oil. Take a clean container-they
probably buy in bulk quanity. 6 ounces should be more than enough for
assembly. Mike LeFrvre

Where do you get that? The auto parts store or some A/C
house. Akron Don Gallimore

A/C Compressor Rebuild
Don, I've done a few over the years
and it's like a Harley V-twin with no camshaft! Really quite simple. Just be
sure to only use refrigeration oil compatible with your intended refrigerant
to lube the components upon reassembly. Be careful with the suction valve
and flush everything with brake cleaner or some product that dries quickly,
leaving no residue. The FSM details the procedure very well. Mike

Anyone ever tackled this? I'm going to go through
the factory original unit on my '65 Satellite. I wonder how
difficult that is going to be and if there are any special tools
needed for the job?. Akron Don Gallimore
