Re: Electric Fuel Pump

Mike,

Thanks for the great pics.  You have a great car!  I just got back on email after spending the afternoon fighting a marsh fire.  I did get the pump installed this morning.  I ended up mounting it on the inside of the passenger side frame rail in the forward portion of the wheel well - down low.  It should be plenty safe from the axle.  I still have to wire it and finish under the engine compartment.  I was planning to get it finished up this afternoon, but then we had that call.  I was gone over 7 hours on that, and I was wiped out when I got home.  I'll get it finished up in the next day or two if the heat is bearable in the garage.  Thanks for your help.

hi dave,
here are some pics of where i put my fuel pump on my '64 fury:

no one will know it is there.  if this is a street car, i would
seriously consider keeping the mechanical fuel pump also for two
reasons:
- if you e-pump goes out, you will still get home.
- the mechanical pump will act as a fuel regulator

for your application i would not worry about the fuel line being asymmetric.
