Eric, Even if you call AAA you need a spare tire to put on after you do a burn out until you blow up one of the rear tires. (grin) Actually I haven’t changed a tire in years except in my own garage but I have had flats. I carry one of those little compressors that you plug into your cigarette lighter in every one of my cars. You can pick them up for about 10 to 15 bucks and I can’t tell you how many times it’s saved me from having to change a tire. 99% of the time if you have a flat it’s a slow leak and that little compressor will pump it up so you  can get somewhere to have it fixed.

I agree about keep a spare ballast resistor in the glove box, with some fuses and other sundry bits, and finding a MOPAR mechanic.  Our cars have enough issues w/o a Chevy man tinkering with it.  But....What is this "spare tire" you speak of?  I've not had a flat in many many years, a blow out since the early 1980's and I've not had to change a tire due to it going flat in so long I've forgotten.  I've towing with my car insurance and you can also get AAA.  You never know where your fine ol' beast will leave you stranded for some $5.00 part that Chevy's don't have.  If you get the AAA towing, get the AAA Plus so it can be towed up to 100 miles.  Well worth it.  The way people drive today on the roads I'd never change a tire on the side of the road anyway, great way to be road kill.  Besides my "spare tire" is enough weight, why add an extra one in the trunk.  Also, you can fit more bodies in the trunk without the spare in there.
