Hey DJ I know you weren't taking any shots at anybody. I was simply stating that for some of us money, and the ability to work on our own cars, is limited. For me, it's just not affordable to be putting premium gas in anything. Especially if I ain't seeing any benefit. I just figured I'd try it just to see if other people I've talked to had a valid point to claim that "your car will perform better on premium". It is quite clear they don't know what they're talking about. One of the guys I'm talking about said he put high octane in his Sprint, (that's right, a sprint) and claimed it went "like a bat outta hell". I then laughed at him, called him an idiot who had obviously never driven a big block, and went on my merry way. I hope that little anecdote made some of you laugh. I know I did. Yes I know it is expensive, but as the old saying goes, "you get what you pay for".
Trouble with gas now'a days, is that it is formulated for newer cars, not our old ones. Anyhow, wish you well and long tender on this web site, always good to read your input.
