Re: New member - ex 64 Chrysler

I am now in Fort Worth, just moved a couple of months ago from Iowa. I still have a "dealer special" 64 Newport at home, but pulling the engine and trans would take a lot of coordination from here.

I am looking for a big block trans and driveshaft if possible. I have a low deck Offy 3x2 manifold and some Ford/Holley 94s for induction. The car it's going into will be a 1926-27 Ford Roadster. The original idea was to use a 361 with push button auto to save floor space in a pretty small car.

My first car was a 1964 Newport back in 1996, so I've loved the push buttons for as long as I've been driving. I used to be on these emails several years ago. I have a second edition copy of Don Dulmage's "Old Faithful" book

Thanks,
Robert Gideon

Please address private email -- email of interest to only one person -- directly to that person. That is, email your parts/car transactions and negotiations, as well as other personal messages, only to the intended recipient. Do not just press "reply" and send your email to everyone using the general '62-'65 Clubhouse public email address. This practice will protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and fine-tune the content signal to Mopar topic. Thanks!
