Subject: Mopar tapered axle rear brake conversion
I would agree to change it to a 65 and also the 741 pumpkin will not fit in all 8.75 rear ends only the sure-grip posi cause it has a different thrust washer or something like that so you can't use a tapered axle pumpkin in a 65-later rear end
unless it is a sure grip and yes the rear ends hold up but they are such a pain and to find a 65- later parts car with a good rear end is simple and cheap
