If you build a Stroker Poly you can run a single four and make 400+HP and 
450Torque; a little more can be had with the dual quad but then your carb cost 
is also doubled – the single four would perform well but I would suggest using a 
Weiand 7503 intake with ported heads.  The cast iron four is good but I 
would do some intake manifold porting to maximize the flow with ported Poly 
heads; although it will be good without doing so, just better with the enlarged 
ports.

I had a best of 9.15 in the 
1/8th which would theoretically be about 14.36 in the 1/4.  My previous 
best on my 264 cam set-up with stock heads was 9.75.  I only had 6 runs on 
the new 284 cam set-up and the last 3 were with a broken tailshaft housing. I 
also had not done any tuning yet as I use the runs to adjust the tune and I need 
some baseline to start with.  I was basically just getting my baseline 
numbers when I broke.  I am positive I would be capable of breaking into 
the high 8's if I pursued it further.  I feel I have accomplished enough of 
my goals at this time.  The Challenger SRT8 that I had raced turned a 9.12 
so I would be right with him now. Time is an issue so I am going to work on my 
next goal of turning LeRoar into a comfy cruiser and i want to hit the mid 20's 
in mpg. I feel that there is more to mpg than money savings. I am also 
interested in distance on a tank. I'm sure the folks in the northeast wish they 
could go farther/longer on a tank of gas! It makes for a comfort zone in the 
middle of the night or when out in the boonies on a Sunday.

        doors and wagons were usually faster cuz the owners OR drivers {if the 
        cars were owned by a parent} usually lipped off to the 2door owners 
        about how slow their cars were compared to the wagons an 4
