RE: How can I keep the engine from turning while removing crank bolt?

Yes, right hand threads.  I use an impact and the proper socket (1 ¼ if I remember correctly)    Some cars don’t have enough room, even with the radiator removed.  Box end wrench over bolt head, and hit the wrench with a hammer. That usually gets it!

Subject: How can I keep the engine from turning while removing crank bolt?

I am guessing that someone has a great trick for removing the damper bolt while the engine is in the car and the oil pan is on. Also, the bolt is a right hand thread right?

Thanks

David
