Re: 65 Coronet brake pedal spring question

I had problems with that switch, too.  I took it out and checked it over, and it was all gummed up.  So I lubed it up and got it working better, but it still didn't work consistently.  I ended up buying a new swith at O'Reilly's - like the newer one pictured.  I think it cost about $5.00 - or maybe $10.  I think I still had to tweak the bracket a little to get it to line up well with the pedal.  The pedal has a little side to side play in it.

Okay, trying to stay on one thread now, Don you are saying I have the correct switch, but a spring that the factory did not provide.  So I either need to bend my switch bracket or figure out why the rest of the brake hardware is not returning the pedal?

No, mine looks like (attached).  The exposed terminal is where the spring was contacting it, thus the short. I've removed the spring for now.
