For the price of a good set of headers, and a 4 barel carb and intake  for the poly you could probably completely rebuild the 440, and have a new fresh engine,,,with at least 50% more power than the poly, you would also be more likely to find parts if on the road with your truck,,,,,,,,, and no your not going to have good gas mileage with either engine,,,,,,,,
