no on the 65 coronet the c pillars get the cardboard backing glued to the c pillars( the actual metal car) and then you just pull the material over them and cement it to the edges,,the material is the headliner (one piece),, some cars do have c pillars that are covered and then screwed or clipped on after the headliner is installed but not on the 65 coronet,,the cardboard that is glued on the c pillars basically just keeps the vinyl from having sharp creases on the headliner from the metal bracing in the c pillars showing thru,,there is insulation that is glued to the roof prior to installing the headliner that has nothing to do with the c pillars but tim had asked in a earlier post   and i believe legendary sells the jute style,,i use fat mat which is the same as dyna mat or hushmat  and cut it into 6 inch strips then glue it to the roof, it is just a matter of choice on what type of insulation you want to use..some people dont use any insulation in the roof which on a sunny day will make the top of your head a little warmer and if you happen to get stuck in a downpour will make it were you need to crank the stereo up a little more to cover the rain on a tin roof  deal ,,

Joe, does the sail panels have to be covered  before they are glued
onto the C pillar ? and in the headliner kit, is the sail panel
covering attached to the headliner?................MO
