I just ruined another radiator that was built using a new core made up in June of 2012. I took it in to the same guy that built it up, and he just told me that nobody makes the bucket header any longer. The bucket header is the part that the upper tank fits into . He has to heat up the bucket header, remove it from the bad core, and send it to the core manufacturer to be installed on the new core, It then all is sent back to the shop where the upper and lower tank is installed on the new core assembly. So if what he says is true, and I have no reason to not believe him, anyone that has old radiators from the era better hang onto them just for the bucket header. Otherwise looks like aftermarket/universal fit style radiators is the flavor of the day.
