Finished up installing the rebuilt heads with new pushrods and lifters. Cranking over the motor by hand was much harder that before the rebuild so looks like compression is up.
As a reminder, I apparently over revved the motor and floated the valves. This took out 8 exhaust valves, bent almost every pushrod (5/16 with .080 wall, now running 3/8" .083 wall) and popped a
number of lifters apart.
Going to the strip either Friday night (chance of thunderstorm) or Sunday afternoon. Target is to beat my best of 12.16 and go into the 11s. I'm cautiously optimist.
