Neal,

the NSS you need is has three terminals, mounts the same as the old one, and looks like this:

And while you are in "the neighborhood", you probably ought to get the wiring connector:

You might get lucky and find the connector already wired into the car, if it hasn't been too hacked up.

Your '67 tranny should have the NSS with three pins on it.  When the tranny is in reverse, the two outer pins are connected.  A wire from that breaker on the wiper switch to either of the outer pins on the NSS, and a wire from the other outer pin to the backup light harness will light up your reversing, and a wire from the middle pin on the NSS to the start relay will keep the car from starting except in neutral or park.

But there is a white wire as well, which according to my diagram runs through the back-up light switch in the pushbutton shifter unit and on to the back up lights.  Here's where it gets confusing... the pushbutton unit was long ago disconnected and removed  when they did the 360 swap with more a modern (904) automatic transmission. The shifter in there is from a 68 Charger . Seems like the 68 Charger floor shifter assembly should have a back up light switch in it but it doesn't. Guess they were elsewhere in those. If it did I could just mickey-mouse into it and all would be well.  So my dilemma is what do I do with the orphan white wire prong on the wiper switch.???  If I leave it off will every thing be okay?
