Welcome Ell Dee, I would guess you want to get the engine started first.
Dis-connect the fuel line from the tank at the fuel pump . attach a new
rubber line at that connection to a clean can of gas.( to eliminate old gas
and dirt-rust in the old lines.) Disconnect fuel line at the carb. Turn
engine over a few times and see if gas pumps out that connection. If it
does, your fuel pump is probably OK. Re-connect gas line to the carb. Check
to see if your points are working properly. Turn engine over a few times and
see if gas will squirt into the carb if it does, it should start. Be very
careful as a back-fire could start a fire or burn you.....................MO

Welcome aboard, Ell Dee. Lots of knowledgeable folks right here! You

Pretty amazing story - the tornado destroyed the garage, but didn't hurt
the car too badly! Hooray!!

My name is Lyle, everyone calls me Ell Dee. I have a 1964 Plymouth Fury, 2
door, Model 334 with push button gears. I have had this car since I was
16, unfortunately it is not running and needs lots of work. I am
interested in where I could buy parts and accessories. I would like to get
it in running condition so I can drive it, not necessarily make it a show
car, but at the same time I want it to look nice too. It went through a F4
tornado in 2011, lost my home, but the Fury was still sitting on the
concrete slab of the no where to be found garage. Took some body damage,
but will worry about the body at a later time. Would just like to get
started on repairs. Any suggestions as where and how to start would be
greatly appreciated. It has not run in some 20 or so years. Thanks!
