I think I got it figured out re: trans kickdown




It takes my brain awhile to get up to speed but I do believe i have the answer to my trans issue.  I am sure it's the kickdown adjustment in that it doesn't have enough travel.  I also see that I can't get full throttle because there isn't enough travel there either. 

So the cure is to first increase the throttle travel to attain WOT by moving the throttle connection down the shaft on the carb a tad. This will make the throttle open quicker and farther.  This will also increase the travel of the kickdown lever.  If this is not enough then I can drill the kickdown lever on the trans and move the connection in so that it travels farther also. Steven Longo mentioned this to me and it took me about 3 days for it to sink in :-(  Oh well, slow but sure.

Now I just have to see if this works!
