If you have a yoke instead of a slip yoke, this is normal. If you check on the side of the tranny case, just above the oil pan rail, there is a 17 digit code number/letters to ID the tranny. If you send me this info,I can decode the tranny to what it is,and where it came out of,you can then order parts. The bearing it,s self has a part number on it and can be cross referenced to ID it.You can also find the transmission part number on our site to further decode the unit:(www.mymopar.com) you go to the tool reference section, and then to the chassis drivetrian section and then to the transmission part number guide, and the lists are there, mrmopartechOn Thu, Oct 24, 2013 at 3:59 AM, Roderek Soest <awesomemau5heads@xxxxxxxxx> wrote:
I have a 1965 barracuda, and on its aluminum tail housing for the a904(slant 6), in the end, it has a bearing. The thing is, the bearing is worn out and needs to be replaced. But upon looking for a replacement, i come to find out that it doesn't seem to exist. So, what kind of transmission do i have, why does it have a bearing and not a bushing, and how/where do i find the parts it needs.----You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "The 1962 to 1965 Mopar Mail List Clubhouse" group.
