Thanks Ricky, I'll add that Magnefine reference to the "tech" page on the 62-65 site. If you find a specific Magnefine replacement please let us know. That reminds me, the tech page has a story about a fellow who used a remote oil filer set up as an alternative and gave the NAPA parts numbers. he used. I agree that installing an over-a-decade old paper filter may be asking for trouble. Thanks, Gary H. > -------Original Message------- > > Looks not important, function is - asked that seller about those repro filters - they have been on the shelf at least 15 years themselves and are no longer made either. Can't see using old stock when it comes to paper filters or other parts that age, like rubber parts. > > Found that WIX mentioned on the 1962to1965 site. Then discovered the Magnefine filter of the same design as the WIX. They even have a metal version that may fit the AN fitting lines. > > I do know GM uses filter magnets under the spin-on filter on the Allison, so I have seen first hand what the magnets do collect...... > > -----Original Message----- > From: 1962to1965mopars@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [ > > Do you care about totally-stock-original appearance? If not, Wix filter 58964 can be used as a substitute. Wix is a top-quality brand. > > Thanks, > Gary H. > > > -------Original Message------- > > What do we do for tranny filters?
