No problem here in NY. Anything older than 1973 is not titled and is registered with a transferable registration. And I can do that with rubbing of the vin plate and a bill of sale. Once it has a NY transferable registration it would be accepted by any other state for proof of ownership. If I was closer I’d be jumping on that wagon for that price. You couldn’t pay someone to do that conversion for $2,500.
