Re: Help. I screwed up...

Couldn't you remove the drain plug from the TC and pump in 1 1/2 quarts into the TC then quickly put the plug back in it?  Messy I know, or don't you have a plug on the TC?  If not, you will have to pull it I think.

Folks,

I am getting very close to lighting up the stroker for the 1st time, and in prep for today came to the realization that I totally missed something - I didn't add the obligatory quart of tranny fluid to my brand new torque converter before installing it.  I talked to Sean at Dynamic this afternoon and let's just say he was lukewarm about anything other than pulling the trans and motor apart to yank the converter and give it a quart.

Arghhh.  I am thinking there's another way.  Perhaps I yank the plugs, and with the fuel pump cut-off, crank the motor around to try to fill the converter before firing it up?  It would go something like this:

1) Add transmission fluid via dipstick and note fill location on dipstick
2) Remove plugs, disable ignition and fuel, then crank engine
3) Check location of fluid on dipstick and add as necessary

What do you think - and can you think of ideas?  Or maybe I am just freaking out totally and should just fire it up and refill it as normal?

Thank you,

Jim
