RE: 62-65 mania

Some impressive numbers they are getting - especially the Ron Pratte collection.

Some of the highlights of Pratte’s collection to be sold include:

  • The only known 1966 Shelby Cobra Super Snake
  • A 1950 GM Futurliner bus
  • A 1954 Pontiac Bonneville Special Motorama concept car designed by Harley Earl
  • A 1969 Chevrolet Yenko Chevelle two-door hardtop, one of only 22, and the only to have a column shift.
  • A 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 302 with original engine, transmission and rear end
  • A 1929 Indian 401 motorcycle
  • A 1970 Plymouth HEMI Superbird

Subject: 62-65 mania

Don't know if anyone was watching Barrett Jackson coverage last weekend when Ray Evernham previewed a 64 Sport Fury that was in line for the auction block.  He mentioned that some people were not all that excited about the early 60's body style, preferring the late 60's models instead.  But he noted that those who were appreciative of the early 60's models were fanatics about them.  AMEN Brother!
