RE: edelbock performer



I’m expecting someone on here to have newer information regarding the current crop of Performers however, it appears that smaller ports are on this animal to accommodate the 318 port sizes, and the Performer RPM is built to accommodate the bigger heads found on the 340/360 and when swapped onto the 318….  However, all that said, port matching is ALWAYS a good plan as most aftermarket manifolds are way off somewhere… and the 318 Performer takes about half an hour…

so ALL performers have the smaller 273/318 ports? That would probably make it run worse.

We did a Performer swap onto a 360… The ports are made for the 318 and need serious port match to be worth the swap…. Other than that, the linkage kit that comes with the carb more than handles the very minor differences in the hookup…  Their fuel line is a handy item to facilitate the swap too….

Anybody know if the edelbrock performer manifold for small block mopar is a  direct bolt on?? Or do u need taller throttle bracket, longer cable etc kickdown etc..?? I have the stock 340 cast iron manifold on right now, would it make any difference except for a little weight loss and cool factor.??
