LeRoar's trip

After all these years I finally got LeRoar ready for the road. My wife and I traveled up to our old town of Harrison, NE way up in the NW corner of NE.  It was Sioux County fair time and they had a parade on Saturday. We entered LeRoar in the parade and had a nice time. We drove a total of 1130 miles and averaged 11.3mpg with a per mile gas cost of 22 cents.  It did run well but obviously I should be able to get better mpg since it has been tamed down. I have 3:23 gears, 2000 stall, SS-X manifold, 264 cam and a 600 Eddy which is leaned down to about position 5 on the chart. I'm considering trying a 500 Eddy. I do have a stock converter which only has about 500 miles on it and I could swap it in.  But that sounds like work!  Anybody have any input on that idea?

In October my wife and I will drive LeRoar down to Houston for a Halloween Car Show. That will be about a 2000 mile trip. It's good to start driving it more.  I'd be glad to share some pictures but windows 10 and I don't get along well. Maybe computers and I don't get along well !
