--Broken block??? Customer drops off ’65 Poly block to get our 402CI Redline 5000 treatment… He took the engine apart himself and sent it to his local machine shop in Iowa to clean up while he was deciding whether to buy our kit or have us build it… He drives to Texas and after loading it on the engine stand I ask him what happened to the block???? Nothing! That’s how he bought it… Upon inspection we ruled out broken rod breaking cam and busting up the lifter gallery… Somebody drop a head from 20 feet on it? Not likely as the whole part of the casting was missing even to the rear cam journal… Casting core issue? Likely… Or on purpose from the factory as I noticed Clark Hinkle from Polyspherical AKA had a picture of his new block and it ‘appeared’ to have the same casting issue??? Structurally all the lifter bores, cylinder bore, rear cam support journal all looks ‘factory’…
