One thing I did notice on the engine details – both breathers are hooked up to vacuum – you want one open for filtered intake air. Does look like the right side has a PCV attached which is good. Not that those old breathers are sealed by any means, but that engine in theory has no air inlet......

What I often wonder, though, is why so many "rebuilt" engines seem to be installed in a black engine compartment regardless of the factory body color. Well, black is universally available, doesn't require color matching, etc. Maybe I just eliminated my own wonder..... But, in this case, I couldn't help but notice the ragged edges of the black spray on the firewall. - Yeah, I know, picky, picky, picky - and I wasn't gonna buy it anyway. Happy new year, all!!
