RE: Speaking of selling cars

Such models show up on the street around here.  Usually bought out of a widow’s garage or estate sale.  Amazingly the young crowd likes such boats if bought reasonably.  They don’t do much to them and just drive them as is..........

Cory, Looks about right.  I would say in the $7-9k range.  Unfortunately, 65 Dodges are not the most popular cars.  I think the 64 models, both Dodge, and especially Plymouth (I have a 64 Fury convertible and a 64 Barracuda) were better-looking, and the smaller Darts, Barracudas, Coronets and Satellites seem to be more popular in the 64-66 years.  Nice looking car, but might be a hard sell, as they have a "heavy" look to them.

Wish you luck.  I sold the wife's Camaro (last non-Mopar car we had, aside from a TR-6) today, but it finally went after a moth and a half on Craigs List and sitting out front.  Very nice for a 1998 car with no rust, etc.  The great thing about Craigs List is that it is free, and will stay up forever if you re-new it occasionally.

l've got a question for y'all.  l tried selling my 65 Polara last year with only one guy coming to test drive it.  l was asking $8,000.  Would you guys agree that's a fair asking price or am l way outta line?  Here's some background on my car with pictures.

lts got a mildly built 440 with a completely rebuilt 727.  Shows about 30,000 miles which l believe are original due to the fact that the car is in rally good shape.  Not perfect but still in really nice, mostly original condition.  The interior is in damn near mint shape with only the front seat being reupholstered.  New 2.5 inch dual exhaust, new tires on nice wheels and a new 750 Edelbrock carb.  Pretty much everything mechanical is new on this car.  Radio delete with the proper delete plate.   All glass is crack free.  Yes, it needs some minor body work and paint, but still a very solid car that is lots of fun to drive.  And l think the rear gear ratio is a 3:23.

So can y'all tell me if my asking price of $8000 is too much.  And it comes with a 4dr parts to boot.

At our local WPC Christmas dinner I announced that i will be selling LeRoar. I immediately had an interested buyer. If it works out it will be a win, win situation. The guy is probably mid fiftees and has 9 other Mopars. He is interested in keeping LeRoar and all it's documentation in tact and plans on keeping it "forever". He can even use the Leroar plates. He offered to leave it in my garage so that I wouldn't drop out of the club. I'm not going to do that but I won't drop out. He wants me to be around for  a reference on what has been done and how to fix things with LeRoar as needed. I'm giving him all my spare parts and some tools including a couple blocks, cranks, engine stand and hoist.

I will get him to join the groups too. Meaning this and the poly group. He will be a good addition. His name is Danny Peters. This isn't a done deal yet but most likely it will be..

I don't intend to abandon ship totally as concerns our groups but you know I have been scarce lately what with all my traveling for Woodhouse Auto Group. That has been taking up all my time and I love it! Delivering cars and trucks all over the place. No trailers involved for me. I drive them  Buy one from them and ask for me to deliver it :-)

You are a bunch of great guys and have no fear, LeRoar will be in good hands!
