If they are Power Brakes, check for any vacuum leak and be sure the intake manifold doesn’t have leaks.
That can cause that type of issue
I have a question. I have a 65 B body that i installed front disk brakes from The Right Stuff with their master cylinder(non power). The lines are bleed and the pedal if firm but I don't seem to have the stopping power that I think I should. Any suggestions? Thanks. ----- Original Message -----From: "Hall (US), Ricky L" <ricky.l.hall@xxxxxxxxxx>To: "1962to1965mopars" <1962to1965mopars@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>Sent: Thursday, January 10, 2019 9:55:16 AMSubject: RE: Disc Brake conversion question.Jim - Manual or power? Just front disc or rear too? Most def should stop.......... What dia master cylinder? How is the pedal?I started with such a kit too - stock 73-80 Mopar front discs. They supplied too small a master cylinder in the kit at 15/16" - had spongy pedal. Switched to 1 1/32" master cylinder, much better pedal. Non-power.Stopped fine but rattled - who designs rubber bands into the brakes anyway. Switched to front disc Wilwood and could not be happier for non-power. Sure it would stop faster with a booster.-----Original Message-----From: 1962to1965mopars@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:1962to1965mopars@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Jimmy PeavySent: Thursday, January 10, 2019 6:32 AMTo: 1962to1965mopars@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxSubject: Re: Disc Brake conversion question.FYII made the swap using SSBC discs, and the car will not stop.
