Re: Radiator/ Electric Fan / Controller Help

Hi Bill

I have about 4 years experience with a Flex-A-Lite Adjustable Temperature Control Module Pt. # 30332. It  has an adjustment knob for 180-240 Degrees and uses a probe in the fins of the radiator. I am also using a Spal relay kit (without temp pickup) Like I think Nick or Jim mentioned.

Good luck!

Even though I've always stuck with stock style configurations when it comes to anything to do my car, I'm tired of being scared of sitting in traffic, and watching my temperature rise.

I'm seriously thinking about getting an aluminum radiator and electric fan combination (never used one before). So far I'm leaning towards Champion radiators (lifetime warranty), three core set up, and a 16 in single Spal puller fan, and harness w/controller. The above package is $500 shipped.

But I'm a little concerned about their harness and as it seems to have some light wiring gauges.

Not sure whether I should maybe use a "Spal" harness and controller like this...

The other issue is that the above controllers have a set temperature (185 on I believe). Should i use a programmable setup like this instead if i want to tweak the temp?

Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks
