If it's like the ' 65 B-Body, you've got three bolts going through the firewall with nuts on the engine side. I seem to recall a bracket somewhere in the middle under the dash that goes to the dash. I've got one heater box sitting in the carhouse (garage) attic it you don't find it. Let me know and I'll go look at it and my Belvedere.
One thing to remember - do not try to take the vacuum hoses off the controller - guaranteed to break the nibs off them and then you're screwed. There is (was?) a guy in Texas who does a wonderful job restoring them but note my (was?) - check for contact in the 62-65 tech files.
Here's a gasket kit for the car. They make them for A/C and Non-A/C boxes.

I decided to rebuild the heater box on my 64 Sport Fury. All the ducts are original and are falling apart. There is a vacuum leak somewhere so I’m going to bench test the lines. After removing the 3 nuts securing the box, and disconnecting the heater hoses, I tried removing the box with no luck. Am I missing something ?--Thanks guysDennis
