Look and see what buss fuse is used for on your old box. Then find corresponding fuse on the painless box. ALL OF THIS IS WITH BATTERY DISCONNECTED! Then cut the wire to the old unit and splice and solder the 2 wires together. You will have to cut the painless wires to your length  and be sure to use heat shrink  to insulate your splices. Take your time and you'll do a great job. I took my time. Oh, it wouldn't hurt to write your old wire color down for each of your old fuses on the left half of a paper and the new color of the painless box on the right half across from the old color and keep it safe. Then if you have to trouble shoot something in the future, you'll have both the old and new color wire to check it out.

Is the back of the painless unit laid out similar to the old fuse box. I’m no electrician but
