I have the same car with the same red and black interior I bought all the material from SMS and had my local shop copy where original seats. I can give you his name and contact if you can’t find anybody. SMS has a sale going on that ends soon, 17% off all material, it’s their first sale in 40 years
You can take a look at my interior on the 62/65 web Site, my car was featured last year. Your backseat looks original, your front seats are not, there is black carpet on the back with ashtrays I have a complete 62 Plymouth sport fury interior left over from a parts car if you need any other parts Send me a personal email Mark Evans On May 12, 2020, at 1:04 PM, Wade's '62 Sport Fury <DWadeLawrence@xxxxxxxxx> wrote:
Howdy,
Haven't been on the board for several years, but now getting around to starting the resto on my 1962 Sport Fury Golden Commando. My seats are shot, and I need to get them redone with new foam & covers. I have bucket seats in the front that appear to have aftermarket covers from years ago (has some weird gold braid on them), and the back seat are also the molded bucket-style shape (not just a straight bench seat). I've attached a few photos of their current state. I'd like to restore to original specs & appearance.
I've been able to find the foam at Legendary for the front buckets, but can't find anywhere that has the seat covers or even the pattern. Does anyone have any experience with these, or know where I can get a pattern? Is my only option to have a professional upholsterer do this job?
Thanks for the tips -
Wade
