There are a number of stages of changes in the A833s, however you can generally work with what you have in that transmission. To change to a sliding yoke you need a tail housing and mainshaft for '65 or later, that will fit this transmission with the proviso that there might be a bigger bearing in the tail housing, but the ID is the same from memory so that's not an issue.In other words, you can use this transmission if you change the mainshaft (which is the output shaft) and the tail housing. Or if you get a ball & trunnion driveshaft.
