It should work. You don't need a proportioning valve for the Coronet. I did the same for my 64 Fury convertible....

Subject: getting rid of the suicide pot
I got my new coronet home yesterday. It still has the old suicide pot master cylinder in it. Makes me nervous. I have a dual chamber one from my 68 barracuda.. The Barracuda was all drum as is the coronet. Would this work? I can't remember. And then I think you need to get a proportioning valve too ,right?? And if so where do you get them?
