If your 1954 Ply. has a Powerflite fully automatic transmission (NOT the Hy-Drive semi-auto) then it had the 230 six,all Powerflite '54's have the 230. (The Hy-Drive cars will have a clutch pedal,the Powerflites will not). ALL 1954 Plymouths (with either the 217 or 230 engines) use the Carter BB- D6H2 one barrel carburetor. (used on all 1952-54 Plymouths)
