The overdrive is designed to disengage when the throttle is floored,so if you mean the O/D disengages at high speed when you press the accelerator (say,to pass another car),that's normal. If it doesn't re-engage,or is disengaging without the accelerator being touched,that's usually a defective control solenoid. DAVEN
