Yes,it has hydraulic lifters.
You COULD put 400 heads on it. No performance advantage really,but they are more compatible with unleaded fuel than the original heads. You would need to research how the chamber volumes will affect the actual compression ratio,of course.(If it woudl require new pistons,you might not want to bother with it unless you had a rebuild in the plan anyway)
