Some shops do use GM-based systems,but there are also custom F.I. system components commonly seen in the street rodder circuits. The MPFI 383 I've seen was all rodder-type custom MPFI,no GM parts. You'll certainly see such systems in the street rodder magazines,as well as the shops.
