I've read that late 50's mopars had an automatic trans mounted behind a flathead 6. I'd like to install one in my 50 Plymouth wagon so my wife could drive it too. Any suggestions on what year/model to look for? Were they all pushbutton shift? Could you convert to column shift? Anybody got one for sale? Any advice or info would be greatly apreciated as I know nothing about this trans setup.
