One for ignition coil,one for voltage regulator

Comments

The "coil" resistor is for the ignition coil and the "ballast" resistor is for the voltage regulator. They do the same thing. In a few cars (i.e. race cars w/aftermarket ignition coils) they can be set up to use the same size/type resistor for both the regulator and the coil.
