I believe those were '58 and '59 Plymouths in the final scenes. I'd be leery of a woman who tosses her beloved cat into a downpour in the heart of NYC! Once George Peppard retrieved the drenched kitty, he should have got into another cab, perhaps one with a 361 and got away fast! The interior shots were in a '59 and the exterior shots of the cab showed a '58. Or vise versa. There may have also been some '60 Plymouths as taxis, but I can't recall. "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World!" tore up two '59 sedans painted as taxis as well as a nice '62 Dodge convertible. Also, a Dodge Power Wagon tow truck took a beating in that flick. I seem to remember a film shown on AMC or TCM where a family in a '61 Plymouth were being harrassed by some kids driving fast cars. I believe it was entitled "Hot Rods to Hell" or "Hot Rods from Hell." I'm not really sure.
