Just a question. Do you have a Firesweep or a Fireflite? The Firesweep in '57 had a 325 poly (same engine as Dodge, badged KDS-xxxxxx). The Fireflite has the true DeSoto engine at 341 CID and it is a hemi. Should be 4-bbl WCFB carb and FIREFLITE on the wire covers. Engine badged as S26-xxxxxx. The other engine is the S25 Firedome, and it is a 2-bbl Carter BBD (unless taxi, then its a Stomberg), and says FIREDOME on the wire covers. Check this info against what you have, as it WILL affect engine parts!
