I have to agree with Jamie. The is also another concideration. If the fiberglass repair was done for a rotted out area the glass will cemically react with the bare metal to accellerate the rust. It works like cancer and if not all of the rust was removed it will spread, sometimes even if the rust was all removed. We used to glass the flares into our Vans back in the 70's and even with no rust to start with after a few years the area was loaded with rust. As Jamie said this is just my thought on the matter.
