Black dust sounds like old carbon deposits? Or dried oil deposits within t he exhaust system? With this situation first thing U Do is remove a plug and see what it looks like. Then go from there. U may also have a bad thermostat in cooling sy stem, keeping engine from obtaining correct operating temp. Be ready to spend some $$$ and time, 'new' old cars require this.... And seek out your local library for any manuals, esp old MoToRs manual.... Good Luck Lars
