I have just bought a 1954 331 Hemi (542-8) and will be putting this in a 1962 Studebaker Lark convertible. My question is if there is a preference in using the 904 transmission over the 727? My understanding is that the 904 is a 727 with overdrive. Also, will a 904 mount up to the adaptor plate HotHeads builds for the 727? Thanks.
