If anyone is reading this response, this"late", but also to 'get' this message into the archives, after a person removes the rear brake drums, 'he' (or, his "shop") can pop-out a wheel-stud, as a reference-item, and replace the "factory" SWAGED-type studs with NON-SWAGED-shoulder studs, which will allow the brake drums, in the future, literally, to FALL-OFF from the backing plates, like any 'modern', non-tapered-axle brake units, without having to use a drum-puller!! Also, everyone should carefully check the condition of the rear brake studs, after using a drum-puller, to ensure that irrepairable damage has not been done, to the studs' threads!! Neil Vedder
